Part of the Plymouth-Canton, Michigan, community since 1964, the Canton Lions provides positive, character-building recreation for hundreds of children. Our focus is on having fun while learning the fundamentals of football and cheerleading. We strive to promote sportsmanship, fellowship and physical development. 

Our teams work hard each year to advance to the playoffs and the Super Bowl and to excel at the annual Cheer Rally by coming together as one. This effort and dedication have definitely paid off. For the past ten years, a Canton Lions football team has competed in the Super Bowl; and for the past several years, our cheerleading squads have earned Cheer Rally medals.

Safety
Safety is our No. 1 priority. Learn more about the state of Michigan's sports concussion legislation, requiring all coaches, etc.- including our volunteers - to complete a concussion awareness online training program. In addition, all Canton Lions athletes and their parents/guardians are required to read, sign and turn in a concussion education form (PDF) prior to participating.
